One of Humphrey's favorite authors these days is Gary Shteyngart. He still giggles about Vlad's adventures in The Russian Debutante's Handbook.
Recently, he came across a couple of video trailers created by the author and featuring one of his students (Academy Award nominated actor James Franco, who's also a PhD student at Columbia) and his close, personal friend, Paul Giamatti. Humphrey was delighted to see Felix the Dog in them as well. They're definitely worth a view, especially for those who enjoy satire:
Humphrey hopes that someday, he can star in his own book trailer.
The Real HouseDogs of Willowdale offers a glimpse inside the world of luxurious fluffiness and pampered privilege, where being seen and sniffed (and who you know) is everything. These dogs are in the center of it all and they have the rawhide, the toys, and the rhinestone collars to prove it. From Maltese to mongrels to poodles – The Real HouseDogs of Willowdale deliver canine power and drama.

Dogs at Work...anybody hiring?
Humphrey goes to work. |
A group of Virginia Commonwealth University researchers headed by Randolph Barker (is that really his name?) confirmed what Humphrey already knew - that dogs in the workplace contribute to lower stress and higher productivity. The study's results reported in the NY Daily News suggest that Ben & Jerry's, Amazon and a host of other employers who allow employees to bring their dogs to work are on to something positive.
Only two questions remain in Humphrey's mind: what's the salary and when can he start?
